Event Planning and Design
From birthdays, to dinner parties, to murder mysteries, I always aim to create an immersive, exciting experience from start to finish. Read some real guests reviews at the bottom of the page!

FAQS
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN EVENT PLANNING FOR?
Almost 6 years now! I started when I left for college in 2021 , with a goal for a weekly party every friday to make more friends. This is when I really discovered my love of creative side of event planning, from the themes, to the invites, and the environment!

DO YOU DESIGN THE PARTIES FROM SCRATCH?
Yes! You can always buy your own kits online for a great murder mystery or dinner party, but there is something so unique and exciting by creating it from scratch.

HOW DO YOU MAKE AN EVENT FEEL UNIQUE WITH GRAPHIC DESIGN?
I focus on the details, like welcome signs, custom menus, quirky cocktails of the night, & interactive elements that tie into the visual identity from the inital invite. Every detail is carefully chosen to encapsulate the environment. This really makes guests feel that the event was created just for them by immersing them in design!

WHAT IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG?
Ah yes, and something always does. It's either people spilling drinks or I'm forgetting to put out snacks or making the cocktail of the night while the guests are still arriving. It's all about patience and having a vague, but structured schedule. That way, if anything goes wrong, I have a big gap of time to deal with things rather than being rigid in my scheduling.

IS THIS ALL DONE BY JUST YOU?
Yes for the most part! I have hosted many events individually, but I've also co-hosted many times. I'll ask my co-host if they want to lean more toward logistics or creative reign, and I take whatever they don't choose so there is a balance! That way, we're both not trying to do everything, and still manage to have a great night that's stress-free.

PLANNING
At the start of each party, the link to character sign up sheet is sent to all attendees (yes and maybes) through the app Partiful. This way, I can easily send mass messages if the party starts late, changes locations, etc.

After the guest list is confirmed, I get to creating the story! Each story has a victim, 1 main storyline and 2 supporting storylines to create suspicion, and gets people working together.
This party encapsulated the environment of the "Deadwood Saloon" and the mystery of Eli the Prospector's untimely death.
I created rustic signs labeled "DEADWOOD THIS WAY" "DEADWOOD SALOON" and "DO NOT ENTER" and from cardboard, with a brown, rustic painted finish.
Creating the environment for this one was relatively easy, the location had a barn themed room with red paneled walls, a pool table, and antique farm pieces. This is where the clues were planted. All the clues were made by hand, with different handwriting to add variation.

Lastly, I created my own Saloon Doors from scratch with poster board I hand painted.

DESIGNING
EXECUTING
At least a week before the event, I send out a reminder for everyone to dress in character and get ready to solve a mystery! Before guests arrive, I place out name tags to help new friends connect and game go smoothly, since the clues are all either referencing a name or an initial.

Once the party starts, I give a secret 30 minute grace period, before the actual game starts. Telling people to gather everyone, I get ready to make a loud dramatic announcement about the victim being killed... and how I'm gonna solve this case before you do!

Getting into character at the very beginning with an accent or something funny/memorable, really helps people get into the storyline more. This makes the game more convincing and easy to follow!
After the mystery is eventually solved, the mystery turns into a regular party, where the pressure is off and the music gets louder.
